Has anyone used Dibbler with Cisco relays? I *think* it will work, the author of the software thinks it wil work, but would like to know from someone who's actually done it :-)
In particular, I'd *love* to see a working Dibbler server config including Cisco relay interface IDs.
Why? I'm presenting a workshop in a week and would like to demonstrate DHCPv6; Dibbler seems a good, simple, multiplatform server and client.
Thanks for the offer Julian. What does your client offer over Dibbler or ISC? Tell us more!

Dibbler works on windows transiting Cisco platforms if that is what you asked. Using an UBR 10k, with a CNR 3 L3 hops away, using DOCSIS 3.0, all worked great. Windows 7 & Vista still sometimes have problems due to the multicast packet RA responses from the CNR but nudge me in a few weeks as we have an open TAC case on it and will have a solution.
Just a note Dibbler will "fill in" the gaps even if the DHCPv6 server does not give all of the information. The author was extremely smart in its construction.
Thanks Silvia. I rang to order your book many moons ago and ended up talking to you for a few minutes - I was the guy talking German with an Australian accent and wanting some copies in German and some copies in English, and an invoice and and and :-) My copy is still on the bookshelf, well thumbed. Several more copies (of the German version) are finally getting a bit of use at ETHZ :-)
You say you used Dibbler with Cisco relays - how did Dibbler discriminate between the various networks? Phil, same question for you.
What I would really like is a sample of the interface IDs sent by Cisco DHCPv6 relays. To all those who have used Dibbler (or indeed anything else) *across a relay*, could you please post a few real Cisco interface IDs, as seen in the wild?
