IPv6 products, community and services

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council (Councils) are issuing a final rule amending the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to require Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) compliant products be included in all new information technology (IT) acquisitions using Internet Protocol (IP).

I guess I'm out of the loop but I thought this was mandated a long time ago?

Having IPv6 in a product is one thing, while turning it on and using it for access is another ... its the latter that shows true adoption.

One way to kick start IPv6 access is to have apps that are only accessible via IPv6. Iknow it sounds extreme but its guaranteed to get people (and networks) on IPv6 !
