"On linux you can change this behaviour: sysctl -w net.ipv6.bindv6only = 1 add the setting to /etc/sysctl.conf for permanence. Caveat: There are bugs in older versions of java that this breaks however."

"This is probably because your windows OS uses separate stacks for Ipv4 and Ipv6, while linux is dual stack."

Hi Folks,I just wanted to highlight some issues I've come across in my porting effort. The v6 socket implementation on windows and linux have difference behaviours that the developer needs to be aware of.Issue 1: "inaddr_any", "0.0.0.0" in v4 and "::" in v6 behave differently.
