Mikael Lind replied to David G. Miller's discussion 'Can't route traffic between LAN clients and gateway router'
"The only case when this can be an issue is when the machine uses the same address as source regardless of destination when pinging. IF it is different than the address it has on the LAN then that would result in ping failing unless there is a…"

Mikael Lind replied to David G. Miller's discussion 'Can't route traffic between LAN clients and gateway router'
"I was thinking that it might be the router advertisement that is missing the default route information. Don't know if that is set by default. I know on Windows that is something you need to add."
Saturday
Mikael Lind replied to David G. Miller's discussion 'Can't route traffic between LAN clients and gateway router'
"My guess is that your routing table is off on the gateway machine. It probably doesn't have a route to local network for some reason and instead wants to send everything to the default route. It probably tries to ping using a different IPv6…"

Mikael Lind replied to James Knott's discussion '<myname>.broker.freenet6.net IPv4 address'

Adrian commented on Mikael Lind's page Freenet6 DS-lite (Beta)
"cool, trying it now... he.net seems to not be able to ping me :s , so, hell, i like the look of freenet + it is an executable/binary, meaning i can set rules much easier, than using per se' netsh or set interface... i would advise tho, for win*…"

Mikael Lind replied to hu zh's discussion 'gogoclient doesnt work for me for the last few days.'
"I rebooted one of the redirect servers that looked like it could be causing some issues. If it doesn't work you can always try connecting directly to the server you prefer."

Mikael Lind replied to Victor Savchenko's discussion 'Explorer.exe CPU 100% load on Windows 8 when gogo6 client connected.'
"I checked but I couldn't see any connections going on my machine."

Mikael Lind replied to Victor Savchenko's discussion 'Explorer.exe CPU 100% load on Windows 8 when gogo6 client connected.'

Mikael Lind replied to Victor Savchenko's discussion 'Explorer.exe CPU 100% load on Windows 8 when gogo6 client connected.'
"Hmm, I haven't seen anything like that on the machines I've tested on. Sounds like you have something that runs on IPv6 as soon as it gets the chance."

Mikael Lind replied to Tomasz Krupa's discussion 'gogoclient on windows7 (with AFTR) and always the same local IP for the local tunnel endpoint'
"Since DS-lite doesn't really care about the IPv4 address assigned to a client the server shouldn't have any issues with the internal address existing on multiple machines. The server will store the combination of IPv6 address and IPv4…"

Mikael Lind replied to Glenn Yokota's discussion 'Please help - "Interface configuration script completed with errors"'
"My guess is that client hasn't installed properly and that the tunnel interface driver is missing. You need to approve the install of a driver during the install or udp tunnels won't work."

My presentation at gogoNET LIVE! 3: IPv6 in the enterprise, an outsiders view

I am going to present my take on IPv6 in the enterprise. Working mainly in the service provider space and with IPv6 I'm going take an outsiders look at IPv6 in the enterprise. I'll look at what I think is important to do to have a functioning setup in a world where IPv6 is growing and what benefits an enterprise can have of IPv6.

My Presentation at gogoNET LIVE! 2

Client and server products for a trial and beyond
My presentations will cover gogo6 products for doing a trial today, both the network part of it as well as the solution for getting IPv6 into the home. It will also cover the evolution from a trial into early IPv6 production in an IPv4 scarce world and beyond.

Home CPEs

The equipment in the home is going to play an important role in the roll out of IPv6 and how it can be used. Home routers and modems are today mostly IPv4 only which limits the possibilities to add IPv6 even if an operator wanted to. There are exceptions and functions that can help the deployment and that is what I will cover in the presentation.

Google is now IPv6 on Freenet6

After some tweaking together with Google to make sure access is good we have now enabled native IPv6 access to the Google services for Freenet6 Tunnel users. This means that you can access www.google.com and most other Google services using IPv6 when you are connected using Freenet6. This is different than ipv6.google.com which only gives IPv6 access to search but nothing else and requires you to use a different domain name.

What you need to do to… Continue

Freenet6 Sydney now online

We have now brought the gogoSERVER in Sydney online. Many thanks to the people at IPv6Now for all the help getting it up and running. If you want to connect directly to Sydney it is sydney.freenet6.net for registered users. All users who use anonymous.freenet6.net (which is default) or authenticated.freenet6.net will automatically be redirected to Sydney next time they connect if that is the closest server available.

In the process of setting up the system we ran into some IPv6 routing… Continue
